Windows Server 2003 클러스터 환경에서 도메인 컨트롤러에서 클러스터 서비스 계정 패스워드를 변경한 후 Passive Node 를 재부팅 한 이후부터 Passive Node 에서 Cluster Service 가 시작되지 않고 서비스 시작을 시도할 때마다 예기치 않은 종료 또는 액세스 거부 오류가 나타는 현상입니다. 어떤 문제가 있었는지 아래와 같이 정리하였습니다. Windows Server 2008 에서는 클러스터 서비스 계정으로 로컬 계정을 사용하니 이런 문제는 발생하지 않겠군요.

[현상]
Passive Node 를 재부팅 한 이후 Cluster Service 가 시작되지 않고 아래와 같이 두 가지 형태의 예기치 않은 종료가 발생합니다. 이 때, Active Node 는 서비스가 온라인 상태입니다.
1. The Cluster Service service terminated unexpectedly
2. Access Denied
[원인]
도메인 컨트롤러에서 클러스터 서비스 계정의 패스워드를 변경한 후 각 멤버 서버의 서비스 계정 패스워드가 변경되지 않아 해당 클러스터 서비스 계정으로 멤버 조인이 실패하여 발생한 오류입니다. 클러스터 서비스 계정의 패스워드를 변경할 경우 CLUSTER 명령 프롬프트의 /changepass 파라미터를 사용하여 패스워드를 변경해야 합니다.
[해결방안]
변경된 클러스터 서비스 계정의 패스워드를 동기화 하고 다시 서비스를 시작합니다.
